About
Impossible to wear, this vestment seems to exclude the body while referencing it. Made from thousands of sharp metal plates each cut, perforated and placed by hand, the sculpture appears to be a shed skin, a weapon, an armor and a ritual garment. It is at once hard yet soft, solid yet empty, confining yet unwearable. Its humble materiality, at odds with its laborious production, reinforces it dichotomous nature.
