About
The Choqueyapu river flows through the middle of the city of La Paz and is probably Bolivia’s most polluted river. Essential to the cities historic development due to its significant gold deposits and usefulness for crop irrigation, it is currently an ecological catastrophe.
Using 8 cinematic scale screens and sound installation, this project reroutes the river into he exhibition space. In doing so it invites the public to get close to the river, which is most often avoided, so they may reconsider their relationship to it and the roll they play in contributing to its current state.
