This video portrait was captured throughout a 36 hour period. Lili, the artist’s grandmother, had recently suffered an accident and was recovering at home. Bedoya’s close relationship with her made it possible to capture these casual, funny and intimate moments.

Lili was the family matriarch, a feminist long before the word ever existed. Strong, complex and complicated, in many ways her life’s arch itself speaks to significant changes that took place over a nearly 100 year period of the country’s history.
