This video focuses on a small river within the city of La Paz where a community of areneros or sand collectors, built makeshift dam. What appears to be a pile of rubble is in fact a structure that retains sand which is extracted and sold to construction sites around the city. In this video a man can be seen reinforcing the dam.

In 2019 a massive landslide within the city of La Paz destroyed buildings, homes and this site. While there was loss of life reported, to this day it is unknown if any of the dead belonged to this community.
